Although the Fureys have been playing their music and singing their songs for over 32 years, this is their first visit to the Carnegie Arts Centre. They have performed for such people as former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, Irish President Mary McAleese and the late Pope John Paul. Tony Blair has publicly stated that his favourite peace song of all time is the Fureys “Green Fields of France”.
