MUSIC DAGO RED

Dago Red
If there is one thing Dago Red has learned while clocking up miles across Europe, it is that music needs no translation when it speaks the language of the soul. Born in 1998 as a busking trio, they have evolved into one of the most respected acts on the international Folk, Roots and Blues circuit.
With a sound that captured the critics from the very beginning, the band’s songwriting has stood out on the global stage. For example, their track “What’s For” earned an honorable mention at the International Songwriting Competition, a prestigious award judged by music icons such as Tom Waits and Keith Richards.
This creative depth has been a constant throughout their career: their debut album, “Folk’n Blues Memory and Other Tales”, earned praise from Italian legend Eugenio Finardi; the song “Sorry Folks” spent three weeks as the featured hit on Frank Hennesey’s BBC Radio Wales “Celtic Heartbeat” programme; and their latest release, “Cicada”, was named “Album of the Month” by the International Blues Broadcasting Association (IBBA).
With over 1,000 concerts under their belt, the stage is Dago Red’s true home. They have brought their sound to theatres and clubs in France, Ireland, England, Scotland, Germany, the Netherlands, and, of course, Italy, performing at the most prestigious European festivals.
Their timeline tells a story of genuine passion:
2012: Winners of the Italian Blues Challenge.
2013: Representing Italy at the European Blues Challenge in Berlin.
Discography: 5 albums marking their evolution from blues classics to original songs with a powerful identity.
Dago Red doesn’t just play music; they invite the audience to share a stretch of the road with them—amidst the dust, the smiles, and that spark of sincere energy that only the finest music can deliver.
