The Carnegie Players
The Carnegie Players were founded in 2009 to help raise funds for the wonderful Carnegie Arts Centre.
They have performed to great acclaim such masterpieces as “Sive” by John.B.Keane, “An Inspector Calls” by J.B.Priestley, “Dancing at Lughnasa “ by Brian Friel, “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens , “Arsenic and Old Lace” by Joseph Kesselring , a collection of scenes from Irish Plays called “A Little Taste of Irish Spirits”, “Blithe Spirit” by Noel Coward, “The Field” by John B. Keane,”The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde, “Rebecca” by Daphne du Maurier “Last of The Red Hot Lovers” by Neil Simon, “The Communication Cord” by Brian Friel and ‘Moll’ by John B.Keane. ‘Agnes of God’ by John Pielmeier, “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” by Martin McDonagh, “Big Maggie” by John B. Keane.”Hay Fever” by Noel Coward. “The Chastitute” by John B Keane and most recently “Anyone Could Rob A Bank” by Tom Coffey.
All the profits from performances go towards the maintenance and upkeep of The Carnegie Arts Centre. These funds are vital to the survival of The Carnegie.
