DESCRIPTION:Fundraiser for Kenmare Special Needs Children’s Group \nJoin us for a special evening of music & song in support of the Kenmare Special Needs Children’s Group. \nThe Folk Ups are a Roscommon-based folk ensemble born out of the Roscommon Men’s Choir – a group of singers and musicians who discovered they had far too many tunes in them to leave at rehearsal.  They’ve been bringing their brand of traditional Irish folk\, warm harmonies and genuine craic to charity events and community stages ever since.  With a local connection to Kenmare through member James O’Sullivan (Dan) – a proud Kerry man living in Longford – who is bringing the group to the Kingdom. All proceeds to the the Kenmare Special Needs Children’s Group.  The Folk Ups are delighted to bring a session to the Carnegie. Authentic. Enthusiastic. Mostly in tune. Always for a good cause.  Look them up at: https://www.folkups.xyz/ \nThey will be joined by wonderful local musicians Maureen Sullivan and Kenmare Trad—Noreen O’Shea\, Helen Brosnan\, and Emmet Vaughan. \nThe Kenmare Special Needs Children’s Group is made up of parents representing 22 local children with additional needs. Each child has their own unique abilities and challenges\, but all share the same fundamental right: the opportunity to live full and independent lives within the community they know and love. \nThrough this group\, we provide local activities so that these children can enjoy the same fun\, friendship\, and opportunities as their peers. \nCome along\, enjoy a great night of music\, and support a truly meaningful cause.
