DESCRIPTION:THE GAZA MONOLOGUES\n A unique & moving performance with musical accompaniment\nFollowing sell out performances in Cork\, Belfast\, Skibbereen\, Bandon\, Schull and Lehanmore in 2025\, West Cork For Palestine\, supported by Kenmare Friends of Palestine are bringing the Gaza Monologues to Kenmare. \nThis special one-off performance will feature local performers\, musicians and singers and original spoken word and musical compositions\, which are powerful\, moving and grounded in solidarity and humanity. \nDirected by renowned Palestinian theatre and film director Nasser Al Swirki the Gaza Monologues are based on an original concept developed by the ASHTAR Theatre Collective based in Ramallah\, Palestine and feature authentic and personal stories of people from Gaza\, which have been translated into 14 languages\, and performed hundreds of times around the world since 2010. \nThe performance will be followed by a panel discussion. \nThe performance plus panel discussion will last 130 minutes. \nAll profits will go directly to Palestinian charities. \n  \n “The Gaza Monologues stand as a testament to the suffering\, courage and resilience of ordinary people just like us and as a reminder for us all to hear and amplify these voices.” Nasser Al Swirki \n
